This past Sunday, the youth volunteered with some adults from the church to put together Health Kits for those who are suffering in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.  We had a great turn out which allowed us to quickly sort and pack up everything we could.  Thanks to everyone who came out to be a part of this!  Your hard work is going to help those who are in need.

In the future, Faith Church Youth will be getting more involved in serving opportunities locally and globally.  On March 7 we are selling refreshments during a benefit concert that will be supporting the Faith Centre.  Over the summer we are going on a mission trip to help people who are in need. 

As youth, it is important to realize that you are an important part in the life of the church.  1 Timothy 4:12 says, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."  By sacrificing your time for other people you are setting an example for others in the church who may not know that serving other people is an excellent way to serve God. 

Keep a look out for ways to serve.  We will be choosing things that we’ll do as a group in the future, but maybe there is something you see that you want to volunteer with.  Give it a shot!  Recruit your parents or your siblings to go with you.  And you can always make up your own opportunities.  Maybe on a snowy morning while you’re shoveling your driveway and sidewalk you can do your neighbor's, too.
